Sail
Win Silver, affectionately known as "Sly", exemplifies
all the characteristics of a JFoundation-bred Quarter Horse. He
is well balanced, heavily bodies, dense boned, short backed, with
flashy color to boot. Sly's get include 75% grays (from sorrel mares)
and one black and white colt. His soft eye mirrors his intelligence
and conveys a quiet confidence. Sly has the natural athletic ability
needed for reining, which demands spins, circles, lead changes,
and stops done to perfection. Sly has been shown in halter, western
pleasure, and reining. As well as he did in the show arena, his
love is for team roping. His natural ability to hook onto a cow
became evident from the start.
His papers display his sire, Sailor Sam
Silver, a consistent NRHA money earner and holder of numerous AQHA
points. His grandsire, Sail Win Sam, an NRHA Futurity Finalist, has
over $40k in NRHA earnings. And his great grandsire is the legendary
Topsail Cody, who not only won the NRHA Futurity but is also 1 of
16 horses inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame. |
