| Misty was purchased from the Skalkaho Creek Ranch, where they had planned on training her to be a cutting horse. We took her into Reining training with Jerry Fowler of Polson MT. Misty got a late start in her training, and was not shown until she was 4. Her and Jerry did very well her 4 and 5 year old years. Jerry won two Morrison Bronzes, a saddle and the MRHA Open and Intermediate Open titles in the time he showed her along with other numerous prizes and earnings. In 2004 Misty helped Coral earn the right to compete in Oklahoma City for the coveted NRHA Rookie of the year, where they ended up as NRHA Reserve Rookie, placing under fellow Montanan Raeanne Svedberg riding Sargeants Enterprise. In 2005 Coral was seriously injured in a horse accident and was not able to finish out the show year. But 2006 has been a successful year for Misty and herself. In the two years Coral has been able to show, Misty has earned her two Morrison Bronzes, two Pewters, several Buckles and smaller prizes. This is a great mare and we look forward to her offspring once her show career is completed. |
